Welcome to 'The Dusties' Whisky Club, the home of extraordinary whisky tastings in Bristol and online.
We aim to introduce like minded whisky lovers to some of the rarer whiskies out there. Expect to see old bottles rescued from forgotten cupboards, limited editions long gone, sold out small batches, festival bottlings and distillery samples that probably shouldn't have left the warehouse!

Buffalo Trace Distillery tasting
April 20th 2023
Our first in person tasting this year and what a way to kick off! We'll be tasting through an incredible selection of releases from Buffalo Trace Distillery.

Glenfiddich Spirit of Speyside Tasting
May 18th 2023
The Spirit of Speyside festival is an annual event celebrating the distilleries of Speyside. Many of the distilleries involved release special edition bottlings to celebrate this and we've curated a selection of Glenfiddich's.

These are cask strength, single cask releases and who better to take us through them than Mr Glenfiddich himself, Mark Thompson.
Stauning Distillery Tasting
July 7th 2023
On July 7th at The Milk Thistle in Bristol we'll be welcoming Stauning founder Hans Hansgaard to the Dusties.

He'll be showcasing warehouse samples and single casks from their Danish distillery. Come along and see why people are going crazy for their rye whiskies!
Woodford Reserve Dinner

We'll be tasting through a range of the Woodford Reserve Master's Collection along side the Ox's banquet meal in Milk Thistle's private dining room.
The Master’s Collection, which was created to honour the many discoveries and innovations that occurred at the 1812 distillery site where Woodford Reserve is now located, has released 15 editions to date and we'll be sampling 5 of them along with some delicious Woodford Reserve cocktails.

About Dan
Dan Bovey has been in the bar industry for over 15 years, most recently making his mark as the Beverage Manager for Hyde & Co Group.
His love affair with whisky came via a chance visit to the Dalwhinnie Distillery in 2007, after working an event in the area. Since then he's visited distilleries all over the world from Canada to Guyana, Cuba to Iceland. However it's Scotland that keeps drawing him in. So much so that he's been back every year to explore different areas, more likely than not with his wife Ash, who's also whisky mad.
